Tokio
23 October 2011
Suddenly I have the possibility to go to the designers week in Tokio to help out "Is it a bird? Is it a plane?", two girls with unbelievable creative minds. They came up with the concept mouthmolding.com , sculpting candy with your mouth. So this Wednesday I will fly out to Japan to help out and of course to do some street photography on the side.
new projects
02 October 2011
As always, work continues. Assignments for magazines and other commissioned work.
But what I like to do most is make up new ideas. Autonomous ideas, people might consider as free work. At this moments I'm working out several large and a few small projects. This, naturally, takes time. Time to find the people that can help, to do sufficient research, to find the funds to make it possible and most important; time to let the ideas grow into a full project.
Of course I will update here as soon as one of these ideas will find it's way from the drawing board to full production.

Tomorrow I will leave for Malawi. Make a documentary in Zomba Mental Hospital. At the moment there are few demonstrations against the government as well, but as far as I know everything is reasonably safe to travel. Of course you can check my blog for, whenever I have the time and the opportunity, I will try to keep everybody posted there.

Anouk Concert
23 June 2011
The concert of Anouk last saurday was great. For some reason it stopped raining right as she had to play, giving me all the opportunity I needed. The pictures are shown on this site here. You can also read some background info about how I worked during that one hour with a Leica M9 here. Of course you can check anouk.nl as well.
Photographing Anouk
07 June 2011
At the start of the Dutch festival season, Dutch rock artist Anouk decided to have a contest. This way she wanted to select 7 photographers who would each shoot one of the 7 festivals she would play at. Out of 500+ contestants I was selected to shoot next weeks festival "Retropop" in Emmen. So the 18th of June is going to be a very exciting. I'll keep you posted!
